Wendy Ledeux and Jules Dickinson are back by popular demand for an update on their Trainee Interpreters/CSWs workshop:

“So You Want To Be An Interpreter?”

Between them they have decades of experience in this field, so they will be sharing their expertise to help you to navigate your way through your journey towards qualification and understand the qualities and skills you need to practise safely.

They will cover a huge variety of topics including professionalism, accepting assignments (or not!), preparation for assignments, ethical scenarios, creating a personal development plan and much more!

Location: Various including Birmingham, London & online

  • Understand the skills and qualities necessary for becoming an interpreter
  • Gain an awareness of the complexity of the interpreter’s role
  • Understand the importance of establishing and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Have a good knowledge of what constitutes ethical behaviour
  • Develop strategies for assessing competency to practice
  • Gain tutor input and advice on creating your PDP (personal development plan)
