“I really enjoyed the workshop as it was a learning curve with so much information given. It was a safe environment where I was able to practice what I had learnt”
What you'll learn
In this 3 hour webinar, Dr Jules Dickinson & Wendy Ledeux will help you explore how telephone interpreting can present unique professional (and sometime personal!) challenges. We will start you on the process of acquiring tools and strategies to better manage this type of work, as well as sharing some tips that can help keep you in your optimal performance zone.
With smaller group discussions, we will explore some of the theories and models relating to telephone interpreting and how you can embed these in your practice.
We will also provide you with a workbook with instructions on how you can try out some of the strategies and tools in your own time, working with your peers outside of the webinar.
This workshop is suitable for trainee and registered sign language interpreters.
